We had been traveling in our RV for 5 years and after looking at multiple locations across the US we decided to settle back down in the Lincoln area. We began the home buying process by looking at homes online and going to open houses on the weekend. After multiple trips looking at quite a few homes we finally met Sharon at one of the open houses. We both felt like we should have been more nervous about the whole process but because of Sharon’s calm and professional approach we knew we were in good hands and actually enjoyed the whole experience. She continued to keep a close watch on all the details during the escrow process and we were never “surprised” with any unexpected costs or issues. We had a 2 week escrow and were suddenly faced with getting all the inspections done in a relatively short time. Sharon happily took care of scheduling the home and pest inspections and connected us with an insurance agent who was able to obtain homeowner’s insurance for us in a difficult insurance market. All three of the individuals we dealt with for the inspections and insurance were very professional and we enjoyed working with each of them.  Sharon has continued to stay in touch with us long after the closing making sure we were getting settled in and that we had everything we needed in our new home. I purchased a new home under construction in early 2018, with Sharon Walas as my real estate agent. I was looking in a limited price range, and Sharon not only found a home I would never have found on my own, but a brand new one being built. Throughout construction, Sharon was there pushing the contractor to prioritize completion of my home. Even during the final walkthrough with the contractor, she found many defects and errors I missed (and had them all corrected in the 48 hours before my move).
